Our
Conservation
Work.

"The conservation of our environment has never been this important."

Born on the 1st of October 2017, The Mammoth Project is the physical manifestation of passion, principles, and a hope for inspiring a sense of responsibility towards the natural world. We are a team of naturalists, conservationists, and adventure seekers dedicated to preserving what remains — and restoring what has been lost.

Active Projects
01 / Shillim
Western India

Shillim Estate —
Western Ghats

Shillim Estate is a privately owned 2,000-acre property nestled in the Western Ghats — a flagship project undertaken by the Writer Corporation for wildlife conservation. The Mammoth Project has been associated with this property since 2017 as their conservation consultants.

The Western Ghats, a Biodiversity Hotspot, is under imminent threat from mining and deforestation. Amidst this chaos, Shillim aspires to become a haven for the unique biodiversity of this threatened landscape.

We are proud to be actively involved through scientific research, ecological restoration, database development, and assessment of human-animal conflict — from the designing of conservation strategies to their implementation at the grassroot level.

02 / Sirpur Lake
Central India

Sirpur Lake —
Indore

Sirpur Lake was the primary water source for Indore since 1878. As dependence on the lake reduced following the Narmada water supply project, settlements along its banks increased considerably — leading to severe degradation of water quality through sewage seepage and waste deposition.

Studies revealed hazardous microbial diversity in the lake — a threat not only to human health but to the significant avian population that calls Sirpur home. The Nature Volunteers (TNV), a local NGO based in Indore, took up the fight of conserving this birding haven.

The Mammoth Project was consulted to provide a comprehensive conservation report to guide restoration efforts for this critical urban wetland.

Corporate Social
Responsibility

The Mammoth Project facilitates CSR projects for various corporate entities across the country. We specialise in environmental programs with emphasis on sustainability, conservation, and responsible living.

We have been closely associated with Goodera since our inception in 2017, undertaking cleanliness drives, waste management workshops, and environmental awareness programs with educational institutions and corporate entities alike.

Our CSR work bridges the gap between corporate obligation and genuine ecological impact — ensuring that every programme leaves a measurable mark on the ground.
