Promoting responsibility towards the natural world through tourism and ecological consultancy.
Born officially on the 1st of October 2017, The Mammoth Project is the physical manifestation of passion, principles and a hope for inspiring a sense of responsibility towards the natural world. The conservation of our environment has never been this important, the magnitude of severity has been on the rise and continues to climb as the days go by. From natural calamities to the synchronized and almost strategic annihilation of vast expanses of green cover by goliaths of the private sector and unfortunately even governments, has led us down a path that only ends in disaster. From air being barely breathable to the serious scarcity of water and food alike in several parts of the world, we cannot ignore the implications of our unsustainable actions any longer.
The Mammoth Project is a team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to preserving the natural world. We believe that by working together, we can create a better future for all. We are a team of naturalists, conservationists, and adventure seekers who are dedicated to preserving the natural world.

The passionate minds behind The Mammoth Project
Naturalist & Wildlife Biologist
May of 2002 was the first time my 12-year-old self, entered a national park. A 4-hour safari inside the park was all I needed to fall madly in love with the natural world. The notion of wildlife conservation and exploring the natural world began circling in my head ever since. However, with no particular direction, the notion would have continued its tireless circuits. It was not until a few years ago that I came across a group of people that allowed me to direct this idea into a tangible and realistic direction. The diligent support of a brother, the guidance of friends and the unwavering support of my family led me down the correct path towards processing that idea, or rather emotion, into a physical form which we now call The Mammoth Project.

Having spent the entirety of my life in the city, I had little to no exposure to wildlife or the natural world. It wasn’t until the summer of 2015 that I experienced the natural world. It was an inspiring experience which changed me in more ways than I can account for. Although I admit to not being an environmentalist or green activist of any kind, this experience urged me to be a part of something that worked towards a better tomorrow through wildlife and environmental conservation. The Mammoth Project was the most apt medium of contributing to that ideology. My contribution to the fight for conservation is now to help young environmentalists to achieve their goals and facilitate the expansion of their knowledge repository..

My career path in the hospitality industry had always taken me to the big cities, while my mind wandered the natural landscapes of the country. A connection to Nature and Biodiversity always lingered in my subconscious, which drove me to start choosing jobs that took me closer to wildlife. It was during one such posting that I befriended Raviraj and Romesh, little did we know that in a couple of years down the line, The Mammoth Project would emerge! Making a career out of one’s passion is something that not everybody is lucky to achieve, but we at The Mammoth Project can proudly say that we absolutely love going into work!

"My travel to India has been an unforgettable experience, organised and led by The Mammoth Project. Their team stitched a wonderful itinerary and organised a perfect trip! I highly recommend traveling with them!"
"The Mammoth Project has proved to be one of the most important stepping stones on my journey to gain knowledge about wildlife. There's a lot that I learnt in a span of 2 years, however I await my calling to join them once again and explore the wilderness.”
"Where do i begin with our holiday to India? One of the most beautiful places I've ever been so lucky to visit. From safaris at Jim Corbett national park spotting elephants and hornbills to exposing the lower Himalaya, it was an experience from start to finish. My personal highlight was the butterflies and visiting Gangotri, where the river Ganga shines the most beautiful shade of blue! Can't wait for our next visit."
"Trips to India can be overwhelming, but not with The Mammoth Project there to help us along. From Tamil Nadu to Assam, travelling with Ravi has always been a pleasure, and with him we have experienced wildlife and wild places we would not have otherwise seen. We will return!"
