About Pench National Park
Pench National Park, straddling the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, is renowned as the glorious setting for Rudyard Kipling's classic, "The Jungle Book". Its name is derived from the Pench River that flows through the park, dividing it into two equal halves.
The park is famous for its high density of prey and predator alike. While Tigers are the main attraction, Pench is one of the best places in India to spot Leopards and the elusive Indian Wolf. The landscape changes from moist sheltered valleys to open dry deciduous forests, offering a stunning backdrop for photography.
