About Tadoba National Park
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is Maharashtra's oldest and largest national park. Often referred to as the "Jewel of Vidarbha," it is renowned for its excellent tiger sightings. The park is named after the god "Tadoba" or "Taru," worshipped by the tribes who live in the dense forests of the region.
Unlike many other parks, Tadoba offers great sightings throughout the year. Its dry deciduous forest, with patches of lush bamboo and the serene Tadoba Lake, creates a perfect habitat for a variety of wildlife. Summers here are intense but rewarding, as animals congregate around the remaining water bodies.
